ABOUT ME

My name is Darlene Joy Koop.
I was born in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan (Canada) on January 6, 1983, which is also "Epiphany" -- Ukrainian Orthodox Christmas Eve.

The day I committed my life to Jesus Christ, my spiritual birthday, is August 6, 1989, and I was baptized six years later at the age of 12. I have been involved in various ministries since I was 14 years old.

I have been involved in various overseas ministry endeavours over the years and God has used each of them to grow my faith, teach me about who He has created me to be and how He wants me to follow Him in my life.

I currently live in the capital city of Alberta, work full-time as an administrator and am active in my church, including teaching a Sunday School class for children 4-5 years old. I seek to build relationships with the people around me at work and at home, and am growing in my understanding of ministry as a lifestyle.

"I began playing piano at age 7. I have played a little organ, and the bass drum/cymbals in high school band. I also love to sing!"

"I enjoy getting exercise and being outside, and will give my best effort in sports/games, even though I don't have strong athletic ability."
